Zehra Naqvi is a diplomat, attorney, community advocate, and writer. Before serving as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. State Department, she worked as a litigator for prominent national law firms based in New York. Zehra has also worked as a programming consultant for national non-profit advocacy organizations and collaborated with a number of organizations on interfaith, intrafaith, and minority-focused initiatives. She has also presented on and written about issues relating to faith, community outreach and civic engagement, and Islamophobia. Zehra’s writings are featured on Huffington Post, Refinery29, and, most recently, in an anthology called Mirror on the Veil, featuring diverse perspectives on veiling.
