Event Host(s)

NWMI is seeking Event Hosts to provide on-site support during programming. Event Hosts are responsible for program implementation at our events. The ideal candidate is passionate about NWMI’s mission and has exceptional organizational and management skills.  S/he must have a passion for helping others and excellent interpersonal skills, an approachable demeanor, and will enjoy having direct contact with volunteers and community members.


  • Oversee all program day-of logistical needs before, during, and after scheduled event time;

  • Direct volunteers in set up, clean up, and food services;

  • Organize NWMI supplies at the venue so that items are accessible;

  • Oversee unloading and loading of supplies at the beginning and end of event;

  • Submit post-event summary form.


  • Strong candidates will have event management experience with the ability to manage multiple needs during programs.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • A consummate team player with a flexible and creative approach.

  • Experience in professional volunteer management, public relations, special events and networking is a plus.

Hours & Pay

  • During the entirety of the designated program plus 2 hours before and after each program (approximately 6-8 hours)

  • Pay $250 per program
