Social Media Coordinator
NWMI is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to plan, implement, and monitor NWMI’s social media strategy across multiple platforms, including Instagram and Facebook, while keeping the content fresh and up-to-date.
The Social Media Coordinator must understand the latest in social media trends and engage our community. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with our Head of Communications to ensure that content is accurate and consistent across all forms of communication. The ideal candidate will have a commitment and passion to realizing NWMI’s mission and vision and uphold NWMI’s values through our social media presence. S/he will be detail-oriented and possess excellent interpersonal skills and an approachable demeanor.
Responsibilities
Upload content to social media platforms that is fresh and dynamic, including but not limited to events, photos, and program descriptions;
Research audience preferences and discover current trends;
Create engaging text, image and video content;
Design posts that generate a robust online community;
Attend monthly meetings.
Qualifications
Passion to support the work of NWMI, its mission, vision and values.
Understanding how to use Instagram and Facebook in an engaging way
Knowledge of basic coding are a plus, but not required.
Detail-oriented.
Experience with Google Docs.
Able to work independently and strongly self-motivated
Superb command of the English language (both written and oral)
Affinity for working in a small non-profit, charitable environment
Hours
Flexible hours; up to 3 hours per week.
