An Iftar Adventure for Teens and Young Adults

  • Escapology 11572 Old Georgetown Road North Bethesda, MD, 20852 United States (map)
“On earth there are signs for those with sure faith — and in yourselves too, do you not see?” — Qur'an 51:20-21

In His infinite mercy, Allah (swt) has filled this world with signs, or “clues,” pointing to the ultimate Creator. Playing off this theme, teens and young adults are invited to hone their ability to spot and interpret clues all around them!

We’ve booked every single room at Escapology in Bethesda for an unforgettable night of food, friendship, and fun. After a check-in and communal maghrib prayer at Escapology, the group will walk two doors down to Roaming Rooster and break fast with halal chicken sandwiches.

With calories on board and brains fueled, participants will head back to Escapology and be placed into one of four age groups. They will then be “locked” inside themed rooms and given 60 minutes to find hidden clues, crack codes, and solve challenging puzzles. The groups must complete their missions and escape before time runs out!

Regardless of whether the groups are victorious in their missions, they can all celebrate their triumphs in overcoming the challenges of fasting, remaining steadfast in faith, and strengthening their Muslim identity.

The subsidized cost for this event is $30 per person (ages 13 to 22).* Space is limited so register now!

*If cost is an issue, contact Hayya@nwmi.org for a partial or complete discount.

**Note: Montgomery County and Fairfax County schools are on spring break.
