NWMI is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks to support the Program Director. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, an approachable demeanor, and enjoys having direct contact with volunteers and community members. S/he must have a passion for helping others.
Make catering arrangements;
Order program supplies;
Coordinate with vendors for programs (such as moon bounce rental for Eid);
Maintain spreadsheets with pertinent event information;
Bookkeeping of program expenses;
Provide assistance to other Team NWMI members when requested by the Executive Director or Program Director.
Knowledge of project management and project design.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Email, Google Docs, and Internet).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A successful track record of setting priorities, shaping processes, guiding investment in people and systems, and developing an infrastructure that creates a stronger and more efficient organization.
Able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals.
A consummate team player with a flexible and creative approach.
Experience in professional volunteer management, public relations, special events and networking a plus.
Flexible hours; 5 hours per week
$12- 15 per hour depending on experience
