How can we make Imam Hussain’s courageous example relevant to the lives of children today?
Professional educator Almira Hussain will use the children’s book Say Something! to spark age-appropriate conversations about using our voices as our superpower. Each of us, each and every day, have the chance to say something: with our actions, our words, and our voices. Participants will explore the many ways a single voice can make a difference, beginning with the example of Imam Hussain and his unwavering determination to say something in the face of injustice and unfairness.
Almira Hussain, a former CampNWMI teacher, holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters in Childhood Literacy. She is a joyful, fun-loving instructor who enjoys working with Muslim youth.
This 45-minute virtual discussion is open to children ages 6 to 10.
