While we can’t congregate in mosques or community centers, we can still turn towards each other virtually to take inspiration from the timeless dua’a Kumayl. A dua’a many of us are familiar with, joining together to hear it virtually offers us the opportunity to share in its calls for contemplation. After the live recitation of this supplication, Sheikh Dr. Ali Al-Hilli will lead a short discussion on spirituality. He will explore in particular how the themes of connection, perspective, submission, and purification are reflected in the dua’a as reminders of what we can strive towards in Ramadan.
